This month, I’ve found myself totally burnt out, merely going through the motions of college.
I program huge projects for one class. I program equally challenging projects for the other. When I have a break, I work on music projects. And to fill in the rest of the cracks, I have a film music course to spend time on. (Don’t even ask about my former social life.)
The fact that I have been sprinting just to keep up with this somehow-only-15-credit semester makes me feel powerless. I can’t do it.
I mean, I get it: life isn’t defined by how well we do in a semester’s course load. But school has ballooned in my schedule to 100 percent, and since I’m burnt out with classes, inductively I’m burnt out with life.
I’ve said before that I’m happiest when I take time to appreciate the minute details and nuances of life.
I can’t wait to start doing that again.

I’m fairly certain someone at work has a loose display connection—he’s describing a flickering screen even though the computer remains on.
Although I tried to give my two cents about it, he called tech support and is considering taking a vacation day, all for what is probably a “push the connector back in the slot” issue.
Work is stressful.
