Matula Spatula

This is not a normal Tumblr post by me, mostly because this is, well, me.

At the start of my freshman year at school, my self-confidence was at rock bottom. A lot of it was a result of me eating more than necessary, partially from the lack of believing in myself.

You would never, ever find a picture of me in a friggin’ tank top no less on my blog back then.

This past summer, I finally began working out—hahaha oh those first few weeks were astoundingly pathetic. But I kept at it, and I was able to not only build a little muscle but also gain some pride in myself and who I have become. And that’s worth every push-up.

So, yes, I am damn proud to say that this picture is of me.

P.S.: Thanks for enduring this tiny, uncharacteristically bold tout—I haven’t forgotten about being humble either :)
